Baseball Recap: Lawndale Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lawndale can now relate to. They lost 11-3 to the Granite Hills Cougars on Thursday. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Lawndale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seth Alex Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Jeremy Lara was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Lawndale's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Granite Hills, their record now sits at 14-10.

Lawndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granite Hills, they will square off against Notre Dame at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
