Softball Recap: Dansville Mustangs vs. Livonia Bulldogs
Dansville extended their losing streak to six on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They lost 20-4 to the Livonia Bulldogs. Surprisingly, this marked the Mustangs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Kaelyn Oliver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Briley Wood was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.
As for Livonia, the victory got them back to even at 4-4. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Livonia's side, they got a massive performance out of Alexa Olson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Olson has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex McKeel, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dansville will take on Wayland-Cohocton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Livonia, they will welcome Le Roy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
