The Titusville Terriers will venture away from home to take on the Bishop Moore Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Titusville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Friday, Titusville didn't have quite enough to beat Cocoa Beach and fell 6-5.

Meanwhile, Bishop Moore fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Winter Park on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Nate Davis was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Tyler Lomas and Danny Garcia did some serious damage despite the final result: Lomas went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Garcia scored a run while going 2-for-4. Kai Lwin was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Even though they lost, Bishop Moore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Titusville's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Bishop Moore, their record is now 14-5.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Titusville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bishop Moore struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.1 strikeouts.
