Recap: Orosi Cardinals vs. Woodlake Tigers

The Orosi Cardinals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Woodlake, posting a 76-47 victory at home. That looming 76-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Orosi yet this season.

When it comes to explaining why Woodlake lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hugo Cruz. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. Cruz scored a full 46.8% of Woodlake's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Avilez, who scored six points.

Orosi pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Woodlake, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Orosi will look to defend their home court on Monday against Caruthers at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Caruthers is ranked 964th, while Orosi is ranked 968th). As for Woodlake, they will head out on the road to face off against Laton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Laton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
