Basketball Recap: Pepperell Comes Up Short

If Pepperell was feeling good fresh off their 64-18 takedown of Trion on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pepperell Dragons received a blow on Saturday as they fell 59-44 to the Coosa Eagles. The Dragons have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Pepperell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Coosa, they moved to 6-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Pepperell and Coosa could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Pepperell (ranked 393rd) will meet Model (ranked 85th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coosa will square off against Christian Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 263 places (362 vs. 99).
