Basketball Recap: Oakhill Christian Takes a Loss

Oakhill Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 78-43 defeat at the hands of the SWCHA S Saints. The Royals were probably out for revenge after losing 94-52 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Oakhill Christian lost, don't look at Isaac Vogel. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Esher Andrews, who had 16 points.

Eric Smith had a dynamite game for SWCHA S, going 8 of 19 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in steals. Elliot Priebe was another key player, going 6 for 15 en route to 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Oakhill Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for SWCHA S, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Oakhill Christian has already played their next contest, a 77-30 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 25th. As for SWCHA S, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Oakhill Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
