Basketball Recap: Mintz Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Mintz Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were dealt a 71-38 defeat at the hands of the Lee Christian Falcons. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-18.

As for Lee Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Lee Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cayce Schoolcraft out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Schoolcraft also posted an 83% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cayden Jennings, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine steals.

Mintz Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 40-20 loss against Antioch Christian Academy on the 15th. As for Lee Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-43 defeat against Village Christian Academy on the 15th.
