Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milford). They breezed by the Dunnellon Tigers to the tune of 70-27 on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 41st in Ohio, while the Tigers are ranked 231st in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Milford to victory were Violet Shuluga and Gabby Chadwell. Shuluga went 10 of 12 on her way to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals, while Chadwell made all 6 shots she took to post 16 points and three steals. Chadwell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Chadwell, who posted eight points.
Milford was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
