Preview: Oconee Christian Academy Warriors vs. King Academy Knights
The Oconee Christian Academy Warriors will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the King Academy Knights at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Oconee Christian Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while King Academy has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
Oconee Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Monday. They were the victim of a rough 56-33 loss at the hands of Newberry Academy.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Derek Pierce, who scored six points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Frick, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-27, which was the final score in King Academy's tilt against Cambridge Academy on Friday.
Oconee Christian Academy now has a losing record at 8-9. As for King Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
Oconee Christian Academy suffered a grim 48-26 defeat to King Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Oconee Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
