Soccer Game Preview: Proviso West vs. Lyons + How To Watch

Proviso West hasn't had much luck against Lyons recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will welcome the Lions at 4:30 p.m.

Proviso West managed to keep up with Oak Park-River Forest until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Huskies. While losing is never fun, Proviso West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Oak Park-River Forest are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Lyons waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Red Devils get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Considering Lyons have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lyons' victory bumped their record up to 13-3-2. As for Proviso West, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1.
