Sedan has gone 8-2 against Udall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Sedan Devils will welcome the Udall Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Sedan has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 13.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-17, which was the final score in Sedan's tilt against South Haven on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 82nd).

Meanwhile, Udall strolled past Oxford with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-34. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Udall found their leader in sophomore Lilly Hoffman, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Hoffman has become a key player for Udall: the team is 3-1 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kaleigh King, who posted eight points and six boards.

Sedan's loss dropped their record down to 1-14-1. As for Udall, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Sedan came up short against Udall in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 49-43. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hoffman, who went 8-for-14 on her way to 27 points and five steals. Now that Sedan knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
