            Softball Recap: McClain Tigers vs. Washington Blue Lions        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Blanchester, McClain was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. Everything went their way against the Washington Blue Lions as they made off with  a  19-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.
 Kyndee Williams was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Williams was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Amaya Ryan was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  she has  launched this season. Another player making a difference was  Brie Cummins, who  went 3-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 McClain was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .562. Their  batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .375 that Washington posted.

McClain's victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-9. As for Washington,  they are  on  a  22-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
McClain will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
