Soccer Game Preview: Eastside vs. Riverside

The Eastside Eagles will face off against the Riverside Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Eastside is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Hillcrest by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Eastside.

They hit Hillcrest with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Christos Fotinos, Titus Aim, and Asher Wilson.

Meanwhile, Riverside won against Indian Land on Wednesday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out Nation Ford 2-1.

Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. As for Eastside, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Eastside might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Riverside in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
