Volleyball Recap: Pearl Comes Up Short

Pearl lost against Petal on September 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates fell 3-1 to the Panthers. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pearl started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-13, 25-9, 25-13.

Pearl's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Petal, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pearl will face off against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Petal, they will square off against Picayune at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
