Recap: Seton Hall Prep Pirates vs. Arts Jaguars
The Seton Hall Prep Pirates were the 46-32 winner over the Arts Jaguars when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Seton Hall Prep was outmatched by Arts on the road and fell 62-30.
When it comes to explaining why Seton Hall Prep lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Gino Romano. Despite the final result, he scored eight points. Romano scored a full 26.7% of Seton Hall Prep's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Beazer, who scored two points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Seton Hall Prep has fallen quite a ways from their 21-5 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Arts, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Seton Hall Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Dwight-Englewood at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th. Arts will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hackensack at 5:15 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
