Calvary Baptist strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Mesrobian Bulldogs 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Calvary Baptist took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-5, 25-10.

Alexandra Martin paced Calvary Baptist's offense, picking up 14 kills. Martin got some help from Tatiana Dashjian and her 13 assists. Dashjian also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Caterina Zamboni, racking up 11 apiece.

Calvary Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Mesrobian, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist will challenge Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mesrobian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southwestern Academy at 4:00 p.m. on September 19.
