Basketball Recap: Falkner's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Falkner lost to Mantachie back in December of 2014, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Falkner Eagles greeted the New Year with with a 73-56 win over the Mantachie Mustangs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Falkner's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Mantachie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Falkner will face off against Ashland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mantachie, they will take on Kossuth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
