Cuthbertson barely beat Piedmont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cavaliers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers on Monday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Cuthbertson's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Piedmont are ranked 262nd).

Cuthbertson hit Piedmont with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cesar Ramirez, David Mina, and Keegan Fraser.

Cuthbertson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five games. As for Piedmont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6-3.
