Basketball Recap: Cedar Catholic's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Cedar Catholic had lost three straight headed into Tuesday's game, but Anisten Wortmann didn't let it get to four. The Cedar Catholic Trojans strolled past the Ponca Indians with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-40 thanks in part to Wortmann, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 21 points and six boards. Those 21 points gave her a new career-high.

Cedar Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Ponca, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Cedar Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Plainview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cedar Catholic is facing Plainview at the right time seeing as Plainview is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
