Softball Recap: Concordia Fighting Orioles vs. Butler Bears        
        
		
            
 Concordia waltzed into their match  on Friday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They walked away with  an   11-6  win over the Butler Bears.
  Kiya Inman made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and five unearned) runs off   three  hits. Inman was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run.
 In other batting news,  Olivia Hemme was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Addison Roepe was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 Concordia's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Butler, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record  this season.
 Concordia is on the road again  on Friday to play Mt. Vernon at 6:00  p.m. One thing working in Mt. Vernon's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last five matchups. As for Butler, they will be playing at home against Buffalo at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
