Aaron Nesmith, who starred at Porter-Gaud (Charleston, S.C.), is projected to be the No. 9 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, according to the recent CBS Sports HQ Mock Draft.

Nesmith, who was first called up to the varsity basketball team as an eighth-grader, led Porter-Gaud to three consecutive SCISA Class 3A state championships starting with his sophomore season.

As a senior, he averaged 21 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists and was named the South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year.

In two seasons at Vanderbilt, Nesmith averaged 14.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He averaged 23 points per game during his sophomore season which was cut short by a foot injury.
