William Stackhouse Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Altoona-Midway got the W thanks in part to William Stackhouse playing the best football he has all season. Stackhouse rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Stackhouse is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Ingalls on Friday. Stackhouse picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 48 yards the last time he and the Bulldogs duked it out back in September of 2023.

Dylan Wark continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown. He has become a key player for Golden Plains: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the season, Wark has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 39.2 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two receiving touchdowns.

Austin Smith and Co. Win 13th in a Row

Austin Smith was instrumental in extending Weskan's winning streak to 13 on Friday. Smith turned in his biggest game of the season, rushing for 60 yards and two touchdowns.

Weskan's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. They and Northern Valley will meet in a canine-themed contest on Friday.

Rounding off our Top Five is Cade Gossen of Peabody-Burns. Gossen rushed for 11 yards and a touchdown.

The win was the third in a row for Peabody-Burns, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Gossen and Peabody-Burns will host Chetopa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
