Football Recap: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Americas Trail Blazers

Bel Air was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Americas Trail Blazers 45-14.

Angel Dominguez threw for 180 yards on 15 of 27 attempts, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Ivan Diaz was his top target, making two total tackles. On the ground, Eddie Reyes rushed for 32 yards.

Cam'Ron Johnson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 208 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries for Americas. Johnson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Mendivil, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.

Bel Air's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Americas, their record now sits at 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Bel Air and El Dorado will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. El Dorado will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Bel Air surely won't give up without a fight. As for Americas, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Parkland at 6:30 p.m. on October 25th. Both might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 977 yards in their previous games.
