It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wellington can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Seminole Ridge Hawks on Thursday. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Michael Swiderski paced Wellington's offense, picking up nine kills. Swiderski were helped by Ryan Rojas and Nico Martinez, who contributed 11 assists each. Finally, Troy Donadio kept Wellington's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Seminole Ridge found their leader in sophomore Pierce Giebenrath, who had 14 digs.

Wellington now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Seminole Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Wellington and Seminole Ridge are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Wolverines will challenge Park Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seminole Ridge, they will square off against Jupiter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
