Baseball Recap: Shades Valley Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Shades Valley's offense. They came up short against the Homewood Patriots on Saturday, falling 19-0. The Mounties' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Shades Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Moore, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Shades Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Homewood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shades Valley will venture away from home to face off against Jackson-Olin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Homewood, they will head out to take on Minor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.7 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
