Volleyball Game Preview: Washington Huskies vs. Moreau Catholic Mariners + How To Watch

The Washington Huskies will venture away from home to challenge the Moreau Catholic Mariners at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Washington is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since September 9th on Thursday. They came up short against James Logan, falling 3-0. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Washington was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-19.

Moreau Catholic hadn't beaten Mission San Jose on the road since October 13, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Mariners came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1.

The win didn't come easy: Mission San Jose scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 16-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Moreau Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

Washington beat Moreau Catholic 2-0 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
