Soccer Game Preview: Lord Botetourt vs. Fleming

The Lord Botetourt Cavaliers will head out to challenge the Fleming Colonels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Lord Botetourt was able to grind out a solid win over William Byrd, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lord Botetourt.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Fleming made sure to put some goals up on the board against Northside on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 4-1 victory. Considering Fleming have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Fleming has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those nine matchups. As for Lord Botetourt, their record now sits at 8-6.

Lord Botetourt came up short against Fleming in their previous matchup back in April, falling 3-1. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
