Baseball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen East Comes Up Short

Morristown-Hamblen East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-3 to the Grainger Grizzlies. The Hurricanes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Grizzlies from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Morristown-Hamblen East saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brett Carden, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Parker Setsor also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Morristown-Hamblen East's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Grainger, they moved to 1-3 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, Morristown-Hamblen East and Grainger will both be playing West the next time they take the field. Grainger will head out to face West at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Morristown-Hamblen East will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
