Basketball Recap: Towson Generals vs. Catonsville Comets
The Towson Generals lost against the Catonsville Comets back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Towson took a hard 66-48 fall against the Comets. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Towson in their matchups with the Comets: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Towson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braden Renner. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Renner has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Moss, who scored 14 points.
Towson has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Catonsville, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Towson will take on the Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Randallstown is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Catonsville, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mavericks at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Eastern Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday.
