Softball Game Preview: Bohemia Manor Eagles vs. Rising Sun Tigers

The Bohemia Manor Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Rising Sun Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Bohemia Manor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.

Bohemia Manor fell victim to Patterson Mill and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Patterson Mill. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with Patterson Mill: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Rising Sun challenged Fallston on Wednesday. The Tigers walked away with a 4-1 win over the Cougars. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Carsyn Godwin was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

Rising Sun hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

Bohemia Manor's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Rising Sun, their record now sits at 6-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bohemia Manor has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Rising Sun struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
