Preview: Viewmont Vikings vs. Northridge Knights

The Viewmont Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Northridge Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Viewmont has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.

Viewmont pushed their score all the way to 60 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-60 to Box Elder.

The match pitted two key players against one another: Max Draper and Elijah Kersey. Kersey had a great game and dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists. Meanwhile, Draper did his best for the losing side, scoring eight points.

Even though they lost, Viewmont were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their eighth loss (out of nine games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Even though Northridge has not done well against Box Elder recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Northridge snuck past Box Elder with a 64-58 win. The win was just what Northridge needed coming off of a 69-46 loss in their prior matchup.

Viewmont's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-11. As for Northridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season.

Viewmont came up short against Northridge in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 56-45. Can Viewmont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
