Homewood-Flossmoor hasn't had much luck against Lockport recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will host the Porters at 4:30 p.m. Homewood-Flossmoor will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Homewood-Flossmoor not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 21st (when they won 12-2). They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over Bloom.

Anna 'Rici' Richmond was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. Richmond was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Izzy Thurman was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Elodie Sullivan was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Homewood-Flossmoor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lockport had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Indians.
Bridget Faut spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Rheanna Slavicek was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Lockport pushed their record up to 22-9 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.
Homewood-Flossmoor might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Lockport in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Vikings have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
