Recap: Currituck County Knights vs. Camden County Bruins
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against First Flight, the Currituck County Knights were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 victory over Camden County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Currituck County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Leading Currituck County to victory were Luke Morgan and Jamie Dance. Morgan dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Dance dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Malcolm Cowell, who scored 11 points.
When it comes to explaining why Camden County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Xzavior Wiggins. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Wiggins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. J'ron Pendleton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Currituck County's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Camden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14.
Currituck County and Hertford County will face off at 8:30 p.m. on February 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hertford County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Camden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
