Soccer Game Preview: Garinger vs. Butler

Garinger is 0-10 against Butler since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Garinger will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Rocky River on Thursday. The Wildcats' defense stepped up to hand the Ravens a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Garinger, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Butler ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Independence. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Butler were the better team in the second half.

They hit Independence with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tessa Repp, Macie Brabson, and Keylin Rodriguez.

Garinger's record is now 9-10-1. As for Butler, their record now sits at 11-6-2.

Garinger might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from Butler in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
