Basketball Game Preview: Huntland Hornets vs. Wayne County Wildcats

Huntland hasn't had much luck against Wayne County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Huntland Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wayne County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Huntland saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell 36-25 to DeKalb County. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wayne County's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Sunday. They took a 49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Loretto. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Huntland and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Wayne County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Huntland might still be hurting after the 54-28 defeat they got from Wayne County in their previous meeting back in November. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Huntland was down 40-14.
