Basketball Recap: Chardon Takes a Loss

Chardon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Chaney Cowboys, falling 76-49. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 633rd, while the Cowboys are ranked 148th).

Chardon's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Chaney, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Chardon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chaney, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tallmadge at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tallmadge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Chaney likes a good challenge.
