Softball Game Preview: Crossett Eagles vs. Star City Bulldogs

The Crossett Eagles will face off against the Star City Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crossett is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Crossett will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Drew Central on Monday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Pirates. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

Crossett got a massive performance out of Caitlyn Lindsey, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave Lindsey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey Graves, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Star City fell victim to DeWitt and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Dragons. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Star City's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Crossett, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
