Softball Recap: Lima Senior Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

The Lima Senior Spartans got the win against the Rogers Rams on Friday by a conclusive 14-4. Considering the Spartans have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lima Senior's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rogers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Lima Senior will take on Shawnee at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Rogers, they will head out on the road to take on Bowsher at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The BlueRacers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.33 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
