Softball Recap: Carver A&T Has No Trouble Against Sparrows Point

Carver A&T's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sparrows Point Pointers with a sharp 11-4 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carver A&T let Jocelyn Barker and Mia McGarvey run wild. Barker scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while McGarvey scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. McGarvey also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Haleigh Frye, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Carver A&T hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sparrows Point struck out seven times.

Carver A&T picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Sparrows Point, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Carver A&T will challenge Towson on Monday. As for Sparrows Point, they will take on Eastern Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
