Basketball Recap: Bishop O'connell Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Bishop O'Connell won the last time they faced Riverdale Baptist, and Shane Lincoln did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Bishop O'Connell Knights' way against the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders on Saturday as the Bishop O'Connell Knights made off with a 63-41 win thanks in part to Lincoln, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 20 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Riverdale Baptist still got an impressive performance from Ean McLaughlin, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Briscoe, who put up four points.

Bishop O'Connell has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points per game. As for Riverdale Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Coincidentally, Bishop O'Connell and Riverdale Baptist will both be playing Fairfax Christian the next time they take the court. Bishop O'Connell will host Fairfax Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, while Riverdale Baptist will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
