Green Hope is 0-10 against Apex since April of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. Green Hope will square off against Apex at 6:00 p.m. Green Hope will be strutting in after a victory while Apex will be coming in after a loss.
Green Hope took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Green Level, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Green Hope skirted past Green Level 9-8. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Rachael Baldyga was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ainsley Campbell, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Another player making a difference was Kai Alesio, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Apex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Middle Creek, falling 14-4.
Apex saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Louder, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Blakely Sellers also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Green Hope's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-6. As for Apex, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Green Hope hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like Apex struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Green Hope might still be hurting after the 14-3 defeat they got from Apex in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Green Hope avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
