Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pulaski Comes Up Short

Mt. Pulaski lost against Hartsburg-Emden on October 1st and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hilltoppers fell 2-0 to the Stags. The Hilltoppers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Olivia Smith paced Mt. Pulaski's offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Alyson Murphy and her 12 assists.

Mt. Pulaski's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Hartsburg-Emden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mt. Pulaski and Hartsburg-Emden will both be playing Monticello the next time they take the court. The Hilltoppers will head out to face the Sages at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Stags will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
