 Richwoods can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They skirted past the Peoria Notre Dame Irish  13-11. Richwoods' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
  Mia Cook and  Olivia Hauri did most of the damage at the plate:  Cook  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run, while  Hauri  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Paige Sarraf, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 On Peoria Notre Dame's side,  Mady Gibson was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she  pitched 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Gibson was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Avery Ginglen and  Jolie Mingus did some serious damage despite the final result:  Ginglen  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  Mingus  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Ava Fontana was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Peoria Notre Dame  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 13  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richwoods only tossed three.
 Richwoods' win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-16. As for Peoria Notre Dame, their record is now 7-19.
 Coincidentally,  the pair will both be playing Danville the next time they take the field. Richwoods will head out to face Danville at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday, while Peoria Notre Dame will  host them  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
