The St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Ocean Springs Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, St. Luke's Episcopal was fully in charge, breezing past LeFlore 47-20 at home. The victory was just what St. Luke's Episcopal needed coming off of a 53-29 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Luke's Episcopal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Stephenson, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Turner, who scored 12 points.
Ocean Springs can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 20-16 W over Moss Point. The victory was just what Ocean Springs needed coming off of a 60-31 defeat in their prior game.
The victory got St. Luke's Episcopal back to even at 1-1. As for Ocean Springs, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
St. Luke's Episcopal was dealt a bruising 62-22 loss at the hands of Ocean Springs in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can St. Luke's Episcopal avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
