South Stokes had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.1 points) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Friday. They came out on top against the Elkin Buckin' Elks by a score of 80-68. Given the Sauras' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Buckin' Elks are ranked 426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Stokes pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.5 points over those games. As for Elkin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
