Volleyball Recap: Bagdad Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bagdad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sultans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Bagdad was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-8, 25-12.

Among those leading the charge was Coco Veatch, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in November of 2024. Maya Pesheva also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Bagdad's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
