Volleyball Recap: Monday's Win Is Shadyside's Fifth in Last Six Outings

The Shadyside Tigers beat the Magnolia Blue Eagles 2-0 on Monday.

Shadyside's offense was headlined by Aubrey Nippert and Addasyn Melanko, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Ali Weatherson and her 21 assists.

Shadyside is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for Magnolia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. After both having extra time off, Shadyside and Monroe Central will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Magnolia, they will square off against Brooke at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
