Basketball Recap: Novi Comes Up Short

Novi lost against Northville back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Novi Wildcats took a blow against the Northville Mustangs, falling 55-21. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 480th, while the Mustangs are ranked 60th).

Leading Northville to victory were Harper Lee and Peyton Sivier. Lee went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Sivier posted ten points along with five assists and four steals. Lee continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Mcguire, who scored seven points.

Novi's loss was their 12th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Northville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Novi does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northville, they will face off against South Lyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
