Volleyball Recap: Desert Edge Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Desert Edge entered their tilt with Verrado on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Vipers 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Scorpions: when they faced off against the Vipers back in March, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Desert Edge didn't let Verrado take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 28-26.

Desert Edge's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. As for Verrado, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-8 record this season.

Desert Edge will venture away from home to challenge Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Scorpions are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Verrado, they will be playing at home against Mountain Pointe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
