Basketball Game Preview: Pinson Valley Indians vs. Center Point Eagles

Pinson Valley and Center Point are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Pinson Valley Indians will square off against the Center Point Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Pinson Valley was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Gardendale. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Center Point was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Fultondale an easy 45-23 win. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 22 points.

Pinson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Center Point, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Everything came up roses for Pinson Valley against Center Point in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 54-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pinson Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
